I'm glad to see that you decided to continue this blog rather than creating a new one from scratch over there at the Radar site. Not only due to the fact that it seems really hard to read long passages of text with the current Radar site design.

Having been a fan of the solid work 3DR and the associated studious have delivered over the past years (I've played every single release since Duke3D with joy without even knowing all of them had been co-produced by 3DR, so I guess that says something about the quality of said titles) I've only stumbled across this blog a few weeks ago and thought all of this was fascinating stuff!

I used to think that Duke Nukem Forever could never turn out as good as promised with all the water run down the river (technics-wise) since its announcement, but after having read this entire blog and having found out about all your great ideas (things I never entirely noticed or grasped) that went into recent 3DR titles I'm all of a sudden somewhat confident that DN4E will deliver :)

Keep up the good work both on the Blog, 3DR and at Radar!
(Can't wait to get my hands on Prey 2!!)

So...is anything exciting happening at 3drealms/radar group? :-)


I'm no insider, but I snoop around gamasutra.com a lot and I noticed that Recoil Games (the developement team of Earth No More and affiliated with Radar Group) is hiring people since Oct-Nov 2008. Mainly programmers and stuff, so I'd guess they recently started fleshing out their game.

Sounds like you have a very nice operation rigged there with a noble goal.
I hope you succeed in turning the industry and leading the (r)evolution of turning publishers onto a proper IP development associate/platform.

I wonder, how is Radar going to handle projects in terms of support, guidance, adding direction, management and control over those creative minds that usually tend to float aloof and not very being business-wise, as was the case with early Origin?
How much of a hands-on or holding their hands through sort of participation will Radar undertake with their project's IP owner "clients"?
